As a bulk foods store, the presence of allergens is inevitable. Sacks of food products containing allergens are opened and closed on a daily basis as we scoop out products and pack into smaller bags for customers.
We use separate scoops for each product and store allergen containing products separately in their own containers. However, the allergen containing products are not stored, or packed in a self-contained area. This means that all products may contain traces of other allergens due to cross-contamination.
If you suffer from a food allergy – especially a severe allergy – we would recommend that you do not shop with us and instead purchase from a shop that only sells pre-sealed products. If you would like to know more or to discuss, please email sales@wereco.co.uk
