Terra Ties are eco-friendly hair ties, designed as a biodegradable alternative to standard hair ties.

They are thick, durable, soft and made from two renewable, 100% biodegradable resources: natural rubber and GOTS certified organic cotton (dyed with natural, azo-free dyes). The packaging is made from 100% recycled kraft board.

Jamie founded Terra Ties in 2019 along with business partner, Jack. He came up with the idea after noticing hair ties scattered on the ground when he was walking on city streets and in parks. After finding out that standard hair ties are made of materials that do not easily decompose, he created an eco-friendly version which would biodegrade once lost or thrown away at the end of their life. Terra Ties will breakdown in compost bins.

Jamie & Jack designed Terra Ties themselves in the United States. They work closely with their manufacturer in China who they visited in 2019.
